What is the best way to care for my jewelry?

The safest way to clean your jewelry is with a jewelry polishing cloth, such as a sunshine cloth. These special cloths are impregnated with special non-toxic cleaning agents that remove tarnish and dirt. Just gently rub the piece. I enclose a small complimentary cloth with each purchase and have large ones for sale. I always follow up with soap and hot water - the results are amazing!

When you're not wearing your jewelry store it in a small sealed plastic bag.  It's tempting to keep your jewelry hanging where you can see it and admire it, but tarnish will build up quickly!

My pendant has 99.9 etched on the back. What does this mean?

That number is a hallmark, an official mark to certify the purity of the silver. Fine silver is 99.9 % pure silver. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. The copper makes the silver harder, but also causes tarnish and occasionally causes skin reactions. 

I lost an earring! :( Can i order a single earring?

Probably! Please e-mail me at ricky@peysterstreet.com and let me know the specifics. All my jewelry is handmade and small batch, and I may no longer have a particular stone available. The fee would be half the price of the original pair, plus postage. Another alternative is to turn the remaining earring into a pendant... we'll talk!

Can you adjust the length of my bracelet? It's a bit too tight.

Almost every bracelet or necklace can be made larger or smaller. Just email me at ricky@peysterstreet.com and we'll figure it out.

I just received my necklace and the stone looks greener than the one in the picture. Why is this?

I make every effort to ensure the photos in my website are a near-perfect representation of the jewelry you will receive. But remember that no gemstone or pearl is identical. They ofter vary in color, shape, size and texture. Not only is this normal, it is an element of beauty. Your Peyster Street necklace is unique and truly one-of-a-kind!

My purchase is a gift and I'd like to include a note. Can I do this?

Sure! Just email me at ricky@peysterstreet.com and let me know what you would like to say. The note will be handwritten on special stationary.

The necklace I want to buy for my mother-in-law has a small clasp. Can I get a larger one for her?

Yes, I have some larger ones available. There may be a slight cost increase. Just email me and we'll make it work.  

Do you do custom orders? I found a necklace I really like but I'd prefer different stones.
